We offer credentials to yoga schools whose training curriculum meets or exceeds our standards. We always focus on maintaining a high quality of yoga education to ensure that every student graduated from WYA affiliated school is well-qualified.

Upon completion of the school registration, each school will be officially listed on our “International Yoga Directory” with lifetime support from the organization.

📌 Education Standards for 50 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

50 Hours Yoga Teacher Training is an additional 50 hours Certification from World Yoga Alliance Organization for all those who wish to follow an additional and exclusive yoga teacher training on various subjects, such as kids yoga, pregnancy yoga, Hatha yoga, Aerial yoga, Iyengar yoga, Yin yoga, Vinyasa, etc. Please, note that this is a very specific course intended for all those who have already completed any of 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training by any school, and would like to become a specialist in any of the areas mentioned above. Our 50 Hours yoga teacher training follows the highest standards and gives you all the knowledge necessary to teach a specific kind of yoga following health and safety standards in order to provide the best experience for your students.

Duration: Total 5 – 6 days Training

Training Hours:

  • Yoga Practical Techniques (total 25 hour with 21 contact hour)

This training includes the techniques of physical and mental level:

Asana and Pranayama Techniques: 13 Hour
Teaching Methodology: 8 Hour
  • Yoga Theoretical (total 25 hour with 20 contact hour)
Meditation: 4 Hour
Theory of Yoga Practical: 16 Hour

📌 Education Standards for 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

100 Hours Yoga Teacher Training is a standard training set by the World Yoga Alliance for all training organizers. This training is based on 200 Hours training subjects, which are divided into two sections, each of 100 hours. This is a primary beginner level yoga training for everyone who wants to learn and practice yoga, designed for people who want to complete 200 Hours YTT but aren’t able to do it at the same time. It’s very important that your training is done and completed with the same yoga school/teacher, so you can receive a diploma after each completed 100 Hours training. When you fully complete your 200 Hours Teacher Training Course, you can register with World Yoga Alliance to receive a 200 Hours Diploma and an official teacher license.

* Please, note that the same 100 Hours YTTC Standard will be followed twice in terms of hours given to practical and theoretical parts, as well as the homework.

📌 Education Standards for 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training is a standard Level 1 yoga training course designed for everyone, regardless of age and previous yoga experience, who would like to learn and master the basics and principles of yoga practice. This training standard is set by the WYA Organization to provide most valuable yoga knowledge, principles, and ethical guidelines to all yoga practitioners around the world. We present this standard to all our teacher training members to follow and structure their courses, making sure that WYA education quality is well maintained across the world.

The structure of the 200 Hours YTTC allows for all those who have never practiced yoga before to easily follow the teachings, and for those who already have some experience to deepen and broaden their knowledge. We believe in inner balance and emotional harmony, and our goal is to give you a transformational experience, regardless of who you are, that you can then apply to your yoga practice and teachings.

WYA Teacher Training Course Standards include both theoretical and practical yoga techniques, as well as homework to make sure you are ready to become a professional yoga teacher or yoga school. Each student who successfully completes the 200 Hour Yoga Teaching Training will receive an official WYA Certificate and a unique ID Number, enjoying various benefits provided by World Yoga Alliance.

Group Meeting / Practice: 45 Min teaching practice 6 Hour
Teaching practical & Workshop: Student teaching as well as observing and assisting in yoga classes taught by others. Hours may be a combination of supervised and unsupervised. 8 Hour

📌 Education Standards for 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

This 300 Hours Yoga Teacher Training is a Level 2 yoga training course that follows further the syllabus and structure of the 200 Hours YTTC. Level 2 is designed for all those who have already completed the 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training and would like to deepen and broaden their knowledge, becoming professional yoga teachers with the ability to become WYA Certified Yoga Trainers. If you haven’t graduated from a WYA 200 Hours YTTC, you will need to pass the orientation test to ensure that you have sufficient basic skills and knowledge to undertake further advanced course and continue the program. All those who already have the 200 Hours YTT WYA Certificate with Valid WYA teacher ID, upon completion, they will be able to receive a 500 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Diploma with World Yoga Alliance.

Level 2 of yoga teacher training further initiates and develops growth and knowledge you have received during the Level 1 course. World Yoga Alliance believes that your progress goes well beyond your physical ability and yoga poses, and it’s important that you focus on mastering your knowledge and teachings, including yoga history and philosophy, traditional yoga texts, as well as anatomy and physiology necessary to facilitate safe and healthy yoga practice. During your 300 Hours Yoga Teacher Training you have the chance to expand and practice different yoga and meditation techniques, followed by teaching methodology, practical teaching, and workshops.

All those who successfully complete the 300 Hours Yoga Teacher Training and receive a WYA Diploma, will enjoy various benefits and continuous support from the organization, becoming certified yoga teachers. A completion of the 300 Hours YTTC will give you the opportunity to become one of our teachers for Yoga Teacher Trainings with World Yoga Alliance, having your own public profile page listed on our official website, where you can advertise your classes, courses or events.

This Teacher Training program is a combination of 200 and 300 hours teacher training courses, and designed for everyone who would like to complete Level 1 and Level 2 of yoga practice, gain a deep and thorough knowledge of yoga history, philosophy, learn and practice different yoga poses, meditation techniques, along with practical teaching. This intensive course is intended for everyone, those who have never practiced yoga, as well as for those who already have some experience. All the students who successfully complete the 500 Hours YTTC with World Yoga Alliance will receive an official WYA Diploma and become professional yoga teachers, with the opportunity to become Certified Yoga Trainers for WYA. This life changing course will deepen your knowledge and foundations of yoga, preparing you for a more advanced and professional investigation into a transformative power of yoga, helping you balance your mind, body and soul, and taking your personal practice and teaching skills to the next level.

  • To maintain the harmony and balance between Body and Mind, all WYA affiliated schools always follow 50 % physical practice(Body) and 50 % mental growth (Mind).
  • Punctuality and participation in all classes are compulsory.
  • 92% attendance in the course is very important, and participants must follow the timetable and attend all theory, practical classes, and all extra yoga activities set by schools.
  • Graduates who successfully complete the program with our affiliate school might be eligible to become WYA Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT Standards) or Registered Teacher of Yoga (RTY Standards) according to the course or training level.
  • The applicants should not join the program if they are only interested in acquiring a WYA Certification because we believe in quality.
  • WYA education courses are not religious, non-sectarian, and non-political. All yoga trainings are designed to spread the traditional knowledge of yoga and to follow a healthy yogic lifestyle.
  • Smoking and drinking alcohol are strictly prohibited in the Yoga school / Ashram area.
  • The trainees will take full responsibility for their own health and wellbeing during the yoga teacher training course. The “WYA affiliated yoga schools” are not responsible for any injuries or other health problems that might occur because we always follow the principles of safe and healthy yoga practice, as well as mindfulness techniques.

  • Respect the privacy and personal rights of all students regardless of their age, handicap, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion.
  • Follow the traditional principles of yoga as it is written in Yamas and Niyamas.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable and clean environment for the practice of yoga classes.
  • Respect the limitations of your students during the practice and encourage them in a positive manner.
  • Avoid any words and actions that can be considered as sexual harassment.
  • Follow all local and national laws that apply to teaching yoga and yoga business.

Compulsory Documents

The following documents are essential and must be submitted via application form or email.

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) for the Director or main teacher (In case the director is not involved with the yoga teacher training course)
  • Photocopies of relevant diplomas and yoga certificates of main teacher.
  • School information including School logo, School Introduction, Style of Yoga, Code of Ethics for YTTC.
  • A copy of training syllabus for the yoga teacher training course(s), clearly indicating educational areas of study, as well as the total number of contact and non-contact hour standards for each part.
  • A copy of yoga teacher training course schedule or teaching materials (training manual).
  • A copy of student enrollment form which clarify the prerequisites of enrollment, educational qualifications and yoga experience of the student.
  • Any other relevant documents that may be helpful for the application review.
