We host 200h Hatha Yoga Teachers Training Certification, 7 and 10 days life transforming retreats, where the secrets of the ancient tradition of classical Yoga are shared which brings the self realization of who you are and what you are capable of. Traditional Yoga Teachers Training was done with small groups to ensure personalized attention and allow people to be in a save space while learning and processing. Jennifer Fitzsimmons is the founder of Pathways Academy of Life and Pathways Country Yoga Retreat based in Kw-Zulu Natal, South Africa where she hosts workshops, yoga retreats and classes. She is the author of her published book Pathway To Wellness. As a qualified Life Coach she specializes in transforming lives in wellness and fulfillment. Jennifer is a qualified and registered Yoga Teacher through Ishta School of Yoga and Health. She is also a qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) through 3HO and teaches both styles. Jennifer is also a full member of The Yoga Teacher Fellowship of Southern Africa, thus the International Yoga Federation; she is also registered with International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association and 3HO South Africa. She obtained a full distinction, Life Coaching Diploma through The Institute in the UK.

Jennifer has been practicing Yoga for 21 years and teaching for 18 years. She has also trained teachers for the last 13 years. Her practices began initially as self healing which lead her to sharing the powerful ancient tradition.

It is Jennifer’s intention to coach people life changing techniques to transform their lives. She teaches a way of living, which brings self realization of who they are and what they are capable of.

The most essential element of any qualification is self experience and a deep passion.

Pathway to Freedom – Meditation Course
Pathway to Freedom – Meditation Retreat Course trains individuals or groups wanting to transform their lives. It teaches the deeper spiritual understanding of yoga meditation. Through a disciplined practice over time we become aware of a shift in our ideals and principals. A yearning begins for a deeper understanding of our self and the answer to the age old questions of: Who am I? Where do I come from? What am I doing here? Where am I going to? A yearning is experienced from within to find purpose to our life and a way to fulfill that purpose. It is here we discover that we are limitless and through the full understanding and use of universal principals that we set our minds free and enter a life of freedom.


 Our luxury and spacious rooms have heavenly beds and shared bathrooms with bathtub and shower. For your convenience on weekdays our excellent housekeeper attends to your room and the whole retreat giving you extra time to focus on your yoga path. This includes a weekly laundry services.

Our retreat is surrounded by a beautiful garden with pool and Braai facility.


Food is nourishment. During your stay at our retreat all meals are included. You will be served home made delicious food prepared with love that you will taste in each meal. We use fresh and local ingredients to nourish your mind and body. We are happy to cater for ALL dietary requirements like vegan, gluten free. If you wish we can also prepare a traditional South African Braai with either meat, fish or vegetables like stuffed butternut squash for you. If you choose, you are welcome to enjoy a glass of South African wine with your dinner at our non dogmatic retreat.

A reverse osmosis water filter provides the retreat with fresh drinking water.
